Have your say on Horizon 2020 - public stakeholder consultation launched

The European Commission has launched an online public stakeholder consultation on Horizon 2020, the EU research and innovation framework programme. The results of the consultation will feed into the interim evaluation of Horizon 2020 to improve the implementation of the programme. Even more important is the fact that the results will also help to prepare the next EU research and innovation programme (“FP9”).

Even more important is the fact that the results will also help to prepare the next EU research and innovation programme (“FP9”).


The consultation offers a crucial opportunity to stress the importance of research on European societies, which is mostly carried out by social sciences and humanities. Researchers and other stakeholders from these areas should therefore take this opportunity to make their voices heard.

The consultation also offers the possibility to upload a position paper on Horizon 2020. Net4Society plans to publish such a position paper by the end of November 2016.

The consultation is open to all individuals and organisations. Contributions are particularly sought from researchers, entrepreneurs, innovators and all types of organisations that have participated in Horizon 2020. The consultation will be open until 15 January 2017.
